You are never too old for anything, if……
Never too old for anything sounds like a fairy tale, you might argue. But the truth is that it’s all up to you.
I often read Dough Armey’s comments on Quora, which I follow and highly recommend. He takes a thoughtful approach to everything related to age. The latest one was about “What are some things only people over 60 know?”
He starts with sex, followed by health, happiness, wealth, and love, and ends with spirituality. His short but powerful intervention in the debate shows with a few words that you are never too old for anything. However, any age can be challenging, and the worst thing you can do is use age as a valid argument against following through on your dreams and projects.
You can always look back and find things that you could have done better. This has nothing to do with your age. There will always be a second opportunity, and you should credit your asset account with all failures in life. They represent a strong knowledge base for any future project.
New projects – different challenges
During the last 13 years, I have started two big projects, which today are two passions filling my life with joy and pleasure.
At the age of 56, triggered by my youngest son, I started serious marathon training. Since then, I have done 24 marathons, a couple of half-marathons, and several 10k races. Last year, for the first time since 2008, I didn’t run a single race due to the COVID-19 situation.
The challenge to make it happen was the focus and shows that you are never too old for anything, even if it’s about running a race of 42.2km.
Four years later, at 61, the next challenge appeared on the radar. When “normal” people started to slow down in preparing for their upcoming retirement, I came across something that I first started to look into during my spare time.
Without even being aware of it, my interest in what I saw pushed me into the online world. A senior citizen who barely could manage a Facebook account was now starting to do business online.
You Are Never Too Old for Anything Even if Retired
A retired life without anything to work with has never been my best life scenario. So, after starting up part-time while still in the corporate world, it soon became my second passion.
My blog is one of the pillars of my business, and it gives me great satisfaction to write about topics that might help other people with problems they are struggling with.
Through different channels like Facebook, Instagram, and even direct e-mail contacts, people like you contact me with all kinds of questions. As the majority of my audience belongs to the so-called baby boomer segment, most of the questions are related to age in some way or another.
The following video summarizes the five most frequent questions I get.

As said so many times, the pandemic is reframing the entire world. Nothing is or will be like before. Access to all digital platforms is easier than ever, and the large baby boomer group is now getting “digitalized” faster than ever.
Various articles have earlier been published on this blog, and here are some of the most popular ones:
