To start loving Mondays could be something already from today
Start loving Mondays! Where are we heading with this article, you may ask? Well, if we turn around the question a bit and say:
“Thank God it’s Friday!”…
…then I assume that the topic sounds more familiar.
It all boils down to the relationship between your work and your free time. Despite the tremendous growth of independent entrepreneurs and business owners, the traditional model still represents the daily situation for the majority of people.
Perhaps the pandemic is changing the mindset in some way. The vulnerability you have as an employee shows how the old traditional labor market is turning upside down.
But let’s assume that you have a job, typically a 9-5 job, Monday to Friday. Depending on your position, your tasks to execute are well defined, and for your performance, you get paid. You are trading your knowledge and experience for money.
The position you were hired for defines in detail through a job description of what the company and your boss expect from you. As always, there are tasks you like more and assignments you like less. However, your boss doesn’t care. He hired you to perform in a certain way, and for that performance, he or she pays you.
To start loving Mondays isn’t that easy. After a long and pleasant weekend together with the family, it’s tough knowing that on Monday morning, you’re back doing something you’re not very passionate about.
The prominent argument people have to continue their corporate job is usually money-related. You need a salary to pay bills and fulfill other financial obligations.
Reviewing all different surveys available about satisfaction at work is curious. No report is known so far, where the money comes first as a priority to find happiness with your job.
Would it be Possible to Start Loving Mondays with Another Job?
Today it’s another Monday and with a whole weekend behind you. But many people can’t even enjoy their weekends, and on Sunday evening, they are flying around like a bee in a bottle. Why?
Most probably, it’s because you aren’t 100% happy with your job. Maybe, your stress level is increasing due to all expectations of your performance. People even get sick if the degree of anxiety exceeds certain levels.
Most people spend their best 40 years in life working 40 hours a week. Hey, that’s a lot of time! The working place is the place where we spend most of our time awake. You have one single life (as far as I know), and shouldn’t it be nice to put in some quality to the short life we have on this planet?
Now, I have to admit that I have been in the situation I describe here for many years. I was constantly working, and practically there was no free time, as the weekends also were absorbed by work. The career was a never-ending circle. Good work was never enough.
The search for perfection was the ultimate, and let me admit it, stupid, objective. Salvador Dali expresses this perfection attitude perfectly:
“Have no fear of perfection. You’ll never reach it.”
And there you are, searching for that perfection that doesn’t exist. It was a constant rat race where the lack of time didn’t allow me to think about alternatives. The wheel was spinning faster and faster at the same pace the expectations on your performance were increasing.
I do believe a lot of people can identify themselves with my story. The change came when I expected it less.
By mere chance, I came across an ad talking about online affiliate marketing. From there, my life changed 180 degrees.
How to Escape the Rat-Race and Start Loving Mondays?
After digging into the online marketing world, I found out that you need three fundamental pillars to successfully be able to create a business that will give you total freedom for the rest of your life. If these simple steps changed my lifestyle, why shouldn’t you be able to do the same?
Start by reading my article “What Is Your Why?” from April 2016. You need to be 100% convinced that you must add something to your life that will force you to do things differently. In many cases, we accept life as it is, claiming that it’s your destiny in life. This is the main reason why many people are “suffering through” life instead of living it as it should be.
You’ll always have the option to decide the route you would like to take. Earlier it was harder to escape from the traditional “rat-race”-like jobs, as the alternative to go independent implied huge investments.
Today it’s different, and frankly speaking, it doesn’t exist any reason not to try the options in the market. You can even try it out part-time during weekends before taking the decision to quit your corporate job.
No.2 You need to have a passion for what you are doing
Without passion, you will get bored pretty soon, tired and reluctant to what you are doing. Being an independent entrepreneur requires a lot of work and dedication. Still, in the end, you are achieving your goals and not building the dreams of your boss.
Some people will love this independent adventure, and some won’t. We are all different, and it has to be respected. However, as you can try this out in your spare time, it opens up a door for people to try, without resigning from their corporate job.
As a typical technophobe and a happy amateur in the digital world, I had very few ideas about where an engagement in the online world could lead. The beauty of all this is that new doors and opportunities are opening up every day over the years. Once committing yourself, you’ll be surprised by the endless opportunity space.
No.3 Let the money work for you
With the online business, automation is an essential part of success. The marketplace is the Internet world, and you will have access to billions of people with your marketing. To manage efficiently such a vast market, you’ll need to have tools.
Once the tools are in place, you’ll just leverage and get the system to work for you. In other words, you are not working for the money as you do in the corporate world, but rather the money is working for you.
Connecting to the right platform will give you access to all the tools you’ll need for a successful start-up. Compared to the old traditional retail market, it is like getting a commercial premise in an attractive mall. But not only that. You will get your store pre-decorated. You just have to put your personal touch on the business, open the doors and let customers enter the shop.
Your market potential will be a targeted niche to be found anywhere in the entire world. You start to communicate daily with them. Hundreds, thousands, and even millions can be reached by automation.
Do you Start Loving Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays….?
This group of people is generally called “workaholics” and will never have time to do anything else but work.
The nice thing about an online business with an intelligent strategy is that you invest your earned money so that it starts to work for you. You can be wherever you want in the world without losing the grip on your business.
“If you don’t find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die.”
This old statement is nothing else but the truth. What Warren Buffett is saying in between the lines is that automation of your business is the key to success.
A laptop and the internet and you are “at work.”
The working place can be at home, with your children and grandchildren, at the beach resort of your preference, exploring new countries on the journey of your dreams, or wherever you prefer.
