Do you know how to talk about money positively?
To talk about money is something that gets many people to feel uncomfortable. You don’t talk about money, to avoid all sorts of potential conflicts. But why is it like that? We all are in contact with money in one way or another, and we do it daily.
To fully understand the complexity of the issue, let me share a true story with you.
Some 30 years ago, the whole family was driving in the car somewhere, probably to a shopping center or something in that way. Suddenly a Harley-Davidson motorcycle came up beside our car. I have to admit that it was a nice bike. My oldest son, who by that time had an age around 10 years, said:
“Wuaaa, dad, buy a bike like that.”
Maybe I was under pressure because of the traffic jam, or something in that way. Still, to give a quick answer to my son, I immediately responded:
“You will get into financial problems if you buy everything you see…”
Some years later, we were in a similar situation in the car. My youngest son saw a beautiful motorcycle and said:
“I would like to have money and buy such a nice motorcycle.”
The surprise was the response from my oldest son to his younger brother:
“…then you will get into financial problems…”
Learn How to Talk About Money Correctly
What did I learn from this true story?
Well, first of all, I was the one who had created a belief in the heads of my kids that things automatically are too expensive. Too expensive in comparison to what?
Upon a negative money related response, your emotional desire to acquire something, in this example, a Harley-Davidson starts to fade out. The fear of running into financial problems makes you reluctant to even think about the product you wanted intensively just a few moments earlier.
That thought that something is too expensive starts to invade your mind, consciously or unconsciously, over the next days, weeks, and even years. When you talk about money, you probably have a similar experience with the same thought.
Now, this thought turns into a belief.
“This is not for me. I cannot afford it”.
Do you see the pattern?
The money related stuff in your subconscious impacts the way you are viewing and spending money.
It seems crazy, don’t you think so?
It is important to understand that your money mindset doesn’t just come from your parents or other relatives but from all people in your surroundings. The money mindset has such a massive impact on your life.
In many cases, it will determine how you think and feel about money. Some people even brainwash themselves that it’s not OK to be rich.
Talk About Money and Don’t Let it Block You
For many years I had a dream to start my own business, but the money blocked me. Since childhood, I had been taught that it will cost you a lot of money to start a business. It also involves high risk.
All this is true……. but 30 years ago.
Today anyone can start their own business without any financial problems. It’s all about having the correct mindset and the desire to become your own boss.
You don’t even need to talk about money, the cost is close to nothing compared to what people had to invest a few decades ago.
The only money-related topic that should be of interest is all the money you can earn by properly doing the job. There is no need to be a technical guru. Just follow the free training and instructions, and your business will be up and running in a couple of hours.

PS. Not so long time ago, my son purchased his Harley-Davidson. For me, it was a lesson about how to talk about money.
