By knowing your why, you can make significant changes in your life
Knowing your why is the entrance to success in life. It’s more about knowing your why. The rest will fall into place almost by itself.
Most things in life start with a passion and motivation to achieve something. It could be everything from creating a product to beginning a relationship with somebody.
Your brain has two parts that influence you when making a decision. You have the emotional component and, fortunately, also the rational part. As emotions always drive passion and motivation, it’s common that the brain’s emotional part also dominates when you make decisions.
The very first moment you fall in love with somebody is 100% emotional. Not until the first abundant emotion leverages the rational part can a long-term relationship actually start.
The same goes for product inventions. Thousands of designs were never launched or failed tremendously because there was no need or demand for the product. One of the weirdest ones I know of in modern times is the Motorola cellphone with a built-in electric razor.
Whatever “crazy” idea pops up, if you know your why, you will automatically oblige the rational part of your brain to take over the work.
The “ why ” will announce the product’s or the company’s value.
How to Convince People by Knowing Your Why
In my early career, starting up as a salesman of vacuum cleaners sold door to door, we never sold vacuum cleaners, but clean and healthy homes. That’s why a live demonstration in the customer’s home was always the winning strategy.
When a sufficient number of dust piles were loaded on the client’s carpet, it was no longer a product discussion but a health issue, and most customers prioritized their family’s health much higher than a simple vacuum cleaner.
The famous consultant and author Simon Sinek explains the power of knowing your why elegantly.
Simon Sinek is discussing the “Golden Circle,” which starts with “What” in the outer circle, continues with “How” in the next layer, and finishes with “ Why ” in the middle.
Transforming this formula to a company, the “What” represents the strategy and what the company is doing. The “How” describes the tactics and how the company does what they are doing.
And finally, the “Why” is not even a name because everyone often forgets it. Well, making a profit, may somebody say, but that is the result and not a substantial purpose.
Your why is the purpose of what you are doing!
It can be everything from a strong culture in the company to the product’s purpose. The values an organization can deliver produce almost a magical trust among potential consumers. When Apple launched its very first iPhone, its success was already guaranteed before the launch.
The leading players, Nokia, Motorola, Sony-Ericsson, and some others, were fighting hard to gain market shares based on their many years in the market, and suddenly, Apple, a newcomer in the segment, literally swept the market. Why? Trust in the brand.
To have a purpose beyond profits and personal benefits is the key to any success in life. If you have a precise definition of your “ why,” the rest will be much easier. The “how” and the “what” will fall into the game almost on autopilot.
“He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.” – Friedrich Nietzsche
Doing business online is an excellent example of clearly defining the “why” before starting. All the scams and false “get-rich-quick” schemes out in the market do not inspire any trust. It is the opposite, and they will make you skeptical and defensive.
When I quit my corporate life and became an independent entrepreneur at 62, I had a very particular purpose. Freedom and a lifestyle allow me to be more with my family, travel, and dedicate more time to my passion as a marathon runner.
Knowing Your Why has no Price
Of course, the money will be needed to do all this, but it will come from well-executed work with my business. The purpose of the general public listening to me is my real “ why.” Providing experience and knowledge to help other people who might identify with my story achieve their goals is driving me to work actively with my online business every day.
When somebody signs up to the system and platform I have been working with for the last 5+ years, they are happy and satisfied to the highest level. From a money perspective, it’s not for sale but rather for the opportunity to help somebody who probably was in the same situation as me some years ago.
The whole process must be built on trust.
If you can see yourself in a situation similar to mine, click on the banner below and learn precisely how you can start your own business online quickly.
If you have a corporate job right now, do not quit. Instead, try this new opportunity in your spare time. That’s how I did it. You can explore and develop your new online business without feeling any pressure.
It took me less than six months to leave the corporate world and start a new journey where every day is a day of joy and happiness.
When you know your why, you may also be ready to start the same journey I am on right now.
