We all have cheat codes for life, but are you using them?

While personal cheat codes for life may not seem entirely fair or morally correct, they are unique to each of us. They reflect our individual experiences and perspectives, often existing without our conscious awareness.

In this article, we will reveal some of the most common cheat codes for life, and I will also expose some of my favorite ones.

As we mature, our wisdom is often a product of our life’s missteps and setbacks. It’s not uncommon for some of our most valuable lessons to stem from the advice we’d give our younger selves. In the video below, I’ll share my favorite life cheat code, a lesson I’ve learned the hard way through numerous mistakes.

The Most Common Cheat Codes for Life

The Most Common Cheat Codes for LifeWhen surfing the web, you will find hundreds of different approaches to what I call cheat codes for life in this article. I’m not going to have any opinion other than that all codes are valid.

I have compiled 10 of the most common cheat codes for life by capturing information about what people think.

Erase procrastination once and for all

I’m willing to bet that most of you reading this article will laugh at the word “procrastination.”

Your life has been a complete mess because of your “I’ll do it tomorrow” mentality. Act now for the future. Can you relate to this?

In many of my articles, we have discussed the essence of procrastination. So, let’s face it: procrastination is a human behavior. The question is how to get rid of this habit.

Ignore what other people think

Have you ever wondered what famous people like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Thomas Edison, to just mention a few, have in common?

Literally, they didn’t give a f**k about what other people thought.

Their dream turned into a project that no one could take away. It requires quite a strong character and belief in your project to ignore all negative opinions.

This is a typical entrepreneurial habit; to stick to your plan despite all obstacles and hurdles.

Prioritize your financial, physical and emotional health

Whatever your lifestyle, you still have time to enjoy a good time. But first things first! Work on improving your financial, physical, and emotional health. These three parts represent the core frame of life, harmony, and fulfillment.

It’s not about having a Schwarzenegger body, living in a palace-like house with a lovely family cheering your success. It’s something much more profound and totally personal for each and every one of us.

You’re the one to decide your financial health. No one more than you will be able to determine the level of your physical health. And emotions…well, it’s something I refuse to even discuss.

Risking is better than regretting

Another human behavior is to choose “safe” alternatives. Taking risks immediately pushes you out of your comfort zone, and you’re navigating unsafe territories.

Stop daydreaming about your future and make an effort to achieve your goals. Risking is better than regretting.

Without risks, life will be boring, and for sure, with a lack of any significant achievement.

Respect and self-respect

Life is a journey. You will meet a lot of different people, some you like and some you don’t. We can have different opinions on any topic, but it always boils down to a firm statement of respect.

Respect everyone in your surroundings, have self-respect and never tolerate disrespect from others, not even your friends.

Avoid busyness

We discussed being busy versus being focused several times. If you say I’m busy a lot, it’s a red flag.

Stop being so freaking busy. Prioritize 2–3 goals and ditch the rest. Focus is what removes hocus pocus BS tasks from your life.

It’s a sad reality; we focus on so many stupid things that we forget what is really the core part of your life, business, or whatever you are after.

Don’t go to work…

I love this one. It took me 30-something years to recognize this actual reality.

Sad but true.

A job is an escape for many people. They think their life will eventually make sense if they show up every day. Often, it doesn’t.

Jobs don’t reveal answers. They hide them so you get hooked on the drug of a predictable salary followed by a deep attachment to debt.

Reverse the order of living your life

Your boss and employer lie to you.

They want you to think work is the most important thing so they can profit from it. But you can always get another job. And one day when your funeral is held, ain’t nobody going to be talking about your work.

People remember you based on who you were and the experiences you shared with them. Hard to have life experiences when you’re chained to a desk working long hours every night.

Compete against yourself

Stop comparing yourself to others.

You’re not them, and they’re definitely not you. Measure progress based on who you were 12 months ago versus now. Every step forward during the last 12 months has to be celebrated.

You did it!

Embrace rejections

Seek out rejection.

Measure your life based on how many recent rejections you got. Let the pain light you up, not descend you into darkness. Rejection means you’re having a crack, and that’s better than what 99% of people do.
